Chef Amadeus of Jacksonville, FL and I have created the BlogTalkRadio show Southern Passion Lounge in Paris, where we explore some of the best places to eat and drink in Paris, listen to the music produced by American expatriate artists, and take a look at the fascinating culture and contemporary life of the African Diaspora here. We also look at French cuisine in the U.S. through the many connections that Chef Amadeus has with French restaurants and chefs around the country.
Chef is planning the first Southern Passion Lounge in Paris travel excursion to Paris in September 2013 and in anticipation of that trip, part of what we'll be doing during each broadcast is demystifying Paris for you. We'll be talking about French dining customs, different types of dining establishments, the important French concept of terroir as it pertains to everything gastronomic from wine to butter, and much more! To help with this, Discover Paris! has created a simple, easy-to-read dining guide called "For Your Dining Pleasure" as a written introduction to all things culinary in Paris.
For information about the trip, contact Chef Amadeus at chefamadeus[at]gmail[dot]com. To get your copy of "For Your Dining Pleasure," click here.
Be sure to join us on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 1-2 PM EST / 7-8 PM Paris time to see what we've cooked up for you!
To call into the Lounge during the show, dial 760-283-0856.
